ARCS of The Necessaries available for review!

Dear femmereaders:

Would you like a sneak peek at a forthcoming collection of short stories with “prose so keen and almost unbearably lovely that it feels both mysterious and familiar” (Christiana Langenberg, author of Half of What I Know), stories that “explore the tenuous threads of her characters’ relationships with humor and grit, humility and abandon” (Sarah Gerkensmeyer, author of What You Are Now Enjoying), and characters that take you on a journey to “quiet, stunning possibilities: love in all its varieties, romance without sentiment, gratitude as a kind of happiness, a buoyant grace” (Mary Howard, author of Discovering the Body and The Girl With Wings), from an author who Publisher’s Weekly says has “an uncanny ability to explore relationships, love, and loss in a fresh and original way?”

Then you’ll want to read THE NECESSARIES, a collection of thirteen wildly original and vivid stories with brash, outrageous characters who all think they know what they need—and are surprised, in different ways, to find out what is really important. Paradisiac Publishing has digital copies available for review, and we’d love to know what you think! You can find the book by following this link to the Paradisiac site; the password for download is available in the comments section of this message.

Reviews are welcome in whatever format you wish, but if you post to an independent site like an individual blog or other, let Misty know so she can link to or feature it on social media and her website at mistyurban.net. You can also send the text of reviews to misty (at) femmeliterate (dot) net to be featured on this site. If you’d like a print copy for review for a lit mag, journal, or other review venue, post a comment here or email me and I’ll do my best to get you set up.

Thanks for supporting small independent presses and works by/for/about women. You rock.
